Established in 2020 by Anne Rose Cornelisse and Ciel ter Velde, NOCKNOCK ART has quickly become a major player in the European contemporary art world. Based in the vibrant cultural centre of Amsterdam, it operates as both a curated online space and a physical exhibition venue called NOCKNOCK Studio. By hosting high profile events such as the NOCKNOCK Art Fair at industrial landmarks like De Kromhouthal and Westergas, the venue provides a professional stage for over 180 artists to present their work directly to an international audience of curators and seasoned collectors. Arjan Spannenburg has established a significant presence within the NOCKNOCK ecosystem, most notably through an extensive four month summer residency at NOCKNOCK Studio in 2025.
