About
Kunstlinie Almere Flevoland is the cultural heart of Almere and a leading venue for performing and visual arts. Located on the Esplanade by the Weerwater in the city center, the building combines striking, transparent architecture, designed by Japanese architects Kazuyo Sejima & Ryue Nishizawa (SANAA), with a dynamic program of performances, exhibitions, and cultural events.
As an arts and culture center, Kunstlinie offers three theater halls, an art gallery, and various public spaces where art and audiences come together in a diverse experience of theater, music, dance, cabaret, and contemporary visual arts. Around 200,000 visitors come to this venue each year, drawn by its invitation to reflection, dialogue, and inspiration.
For artists, Kunstlinie provides not only a physical space but also a conceptual framework: a place where art gains social relevance and stories of identity are given a platform. The exhibition spaces within this cultural hub amplify the visibility of diverse voices and invite visitors to experience connection and understanding in an open, inclusive setting.
